In a keenly contested race for the office of the Registrar, Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria, Dr. Mark Okeji has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer today 15th February, 2018.

Dr. Mark Chukwudi Okeji, a native of Omasi in Ayamelum LGA of Anambra State, Nigeria. He is a senior Lecturer in the Department of Medical Radiography and Radiological Sciences, University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

He hold a B.Sc, M.Sc and PhD in Radiography. It may interest you to know that Dr Mark Okeji was the first to obtain a PhD in Radiography from any department in Nigeria and indeed West Africa.

Prior to joining University of Nigeria as a Lecturer, he had worked as a clinical Radiographer at National Orthopaedic Hospital Enugu where he rose to the rank of Assistant Chief Radiographer.

He is the immediate past president of the Association of Radiographers of Nigeria (ARN), the Vice-President, Pan African Congress of Radiology and Imaging (PACORI) 2015-2017, pioneer president African Radiography Forum (ARF) inaugurated in Kenya recently. Dr. Okeji is married to beautiful Barr. (Mrs) Uzoamaka Okeji and the marriage is blessed with four children.

His journey into radiography leadership started in 2004 in Benin, Edo State, where he was elected National Secretary in a landslide election. He concluded a term as the National Secretary and was elected Vice-President II, which ended in 2010.  Having been adjudged by his colleagues to have performed creditably well, he was unanimously elected the President of ARN in Calabar, Cross River State in 2010 which he steered until November, 2016.
